BIO

Alex Perez
Born in Santiago, Chile, in 1946, a fourth generation of artists. After graduating from the ‘Academy of Fine Arts’ in Santiago, he worked in his father studio - the Ibero-Chilean painter Eduardo Perez - where he acquired most of his artistic knowledge and skills.
He expresses his own artistic passion and "joie de vivre" by recording Nature on the canvas, the shifting of light as day progresses from dawn to dusk and back again, the vividness of his colors breathing life and vitality into his canvas adding a romantic realism approach and reflecting a peaceful and harmonious ambience, as a means of transporting the viewer to a serene and contemplative visual experience.

He use numerous techniques to create: oils, acrylics, watercolors, drawings, engravings, prints and murals. His fine art also includes works of stained glass and sculpture in stone.

He has exhibited all over the world, and his works are included in private and public collections in the United States, Canada, Europe, Israel, South America and Japan.

Artist statements:
"I am a perfectionist without patience"
